Hannah is an inventive, reliable and results-focused communications professional with experience in government and non-profit. With active listening, close collaboration and proactive strategy, she prioritizes building and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships.
Prior to joining NATIONAL, Hannah was a key member of the Mass Casualty Commission’s communications team. During her time with the public inquiry, she coordinated media relations alongside stakeholder engagement, strategy development and external communications. Before the Commission, Hannah implemented and managed a start-up social enterprise (coffee shop) that employed nine adults living with disabilities for the South Shore Community Service Association.
Hannah considers herself a lifelong learner and an active community member. She sits on the board of directors for the International Association for Business Communicators (Maritime) as Vice President of Sponsorship and volunteers with the Canadian Mental Health Association to support events and fundraisers.
Hannah holds an advanced diploma in Public Relations with honours from the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC). She completed her undergraduate degree with a major in Sociology and Social Anthropology and a minor in Critical Health Studies from Dalhousie University.
