|Un événement organisé par le Canadian Club Toronto
Salle de conférence vide

(La description de l'événement est en anglais.)

Is your company a potential target for activist investors? Are you looking for new insights from the proxy trenches to help your client anticipate activist challenges and defend itself? US hedge funds and short sellers, among others, are aiming at Canadian corporates, from retail and tech to mining and cannabis, and any company without a plan is at risk.

On March 4th, Andrea Mandel-Campbell, Senior Vice-President of NATIONAL Capital Markets will get the inside scoop from the experts on how activists think, their strategies and tactics, and how Canadian corporates can defend themselves.

Join Andrea for a candid and timely discussion as we head into the proxy season with New York short-seller Ben Axler of Spruce Point Capital Management, who has set his sights on many a Canadian corporate, including Dollarama and Maxar Technologies, as well as Sunny Puri of Toronto-based Anson Funds, who is keenly watching the cannabis space. Patricia Olasker, Partner at Davies and a veteran of mining M&A, will share her insights, along with David Salmon, President of Laurel Hill, one of Canada’s leading proxy advisors.
