André Bouthillier combines 50 years of experience in journalism (Montreal-Matin, Radio-Canada and Le Devoir), public relations and politics. He specializes in strategic consulting, issues management and corporate communications.
In the 80s and 90s, he was a senior partner of NATIONAL Public Relations. He is the co-founder of Pyramid Public Relations (renamed Cohn & Wolfe), which he directed from 1995 to 1999 and from 2013 to 2016. He also served as vice president and CEO of Optimum Public Relations. In 2012, he became Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister of International Relations, Francophonie and Foreign Trade.
He won many national and international awards, including the first international prize in investigative journalism from the Fondation pour la liberté de presse de Paris, the Judith-Jasmin award (honourable mention), the first prize in the Fondation québécoise d'éducation économique journalism contest, the prize L. Jérôme Carrière (Revue Commerce), and the National Newspaper Award for Business Writing (two honourable mentions) in the Toronto Press Club and Royal Bank of Canada.
He received the Grand Prix of the PR Society of Quebec ("External Public Relations Program") and the Award of the Société québécoise des professionnels en relations publiques ("Issues Management").
André Bouthillier is a member of the Board of Société de développement Angus, Montréal Centre-Ville and Fondation René-Lévesque.
